PROPAGATION CARRIER OF OPTIC SIGNAL

The path ( called a mode) that light takes as it travels in an optic fiber. Generally, the propagation of optic signals in filaments has two paths, and the corresponding filaments also have two paths.

Single-mode fiber can only transmit light of one mode, and a strong infrared ray is used as a light source to enter the fiber at 90 degrees, and the light carrying the data is principally transmitted in a straight line in the fiber, which greatly improves the transmission speed and distance. Substantially used for WAN connections. Compared with the advanced bandwidth of multimode, the transmission distance is longer, and the cost is similarly advanced.

Compared with single-mode fiber,multi-mode fiber allows multiple modes ( paths) of light to be transmitted contemporaneously in the same core. Depending on the angle of prevalence, the colorful modes of light may actually travel different distances in the fiber. The angle of prevalence can beget different modes of light to arrive at their destination slightly else-a miracle known as modal dissipation. Multimode filaments use a special kind of glass, called graded- indicator glass, which has a lower indicator of refraction toward the external edge of the core. This glass allows light to decelerate down when passing through the center of the fiber core and speed up when passing through areas outside the center of the core, which ensures that all modes of light energy arrive at the endpoint at about the same time.

In an optic fiber communication outfit, fiber optical connectors are essential. With it, the optic signal transmitted in the optic fiber can be converted into an electrical signal, and eventually, the conversion of information can be realized. Optic fiber connectors are divided into three types LC/ PC optic connectors, SC/ PC optic connectors, and FC/ PC optic connectors. What are the draw-in operations and preventives of these three optic connectors?

1. LC/ PC and SC/ PC optic connectors

The insertion and birth of LC/ PC and SC/ PC optic connectors only bear axial operation without gyration.

When fitting the optic fiber, precisely align the optic fiber head with the optic interface on the optic interface board and push it in with moderate force. When pulling out the optic fiber, first press the clip, push the optic fiber draw slightly inward, and also pull out the draw outward.

2. FC/ PC optic connector

When fitting the optic fiber, precisely align the FC/ PC connector with the optic interface on the optic interface board to avoid damaging the ceramic inner tube of the optic interface. After fitting the optic fiber to the end, turn the external ring screw cover clockwise to strain the optic connector. When pulling out the optic fiber, originally rotate the external ring screw cover of the optic fiber interface counterclockwise. When the screw is loose, pull out the optic fiber with a little force.
