A Comprehensive Description of the Fiber Optic Splice Closure

The fiber optic splice closure is used to connect two cables. The terminal box is the place where the end of the optical cable is connected, and then accesses the optical switch through the optical jumper. Fiber optic splice closures are commonly mounted on 19-inch racks to accommodate more cable ends. The fiber optic splice closure is named as a light connection package in some places, especially in the radio and television system, to protect the fiber optic splice closure from external damage. Applicable to the operator's machine room. The internal structure of the fiber optic splice closure: 1. Support frame: The main body of the internal components. 2. Cable fixing device: used for fixing the optical cable to the base and fixing the optical cable reinforcing component. The first is the fixing of the cable reinforcement core inside; the second is the fixing of the cable and the support frame; the third is that the cable and the connector box are sealed and fixed by the heat shrinkable jacket. 3. Sealing the optical cable and the joint box: sand the joint between the joint box and the optical cable with the abrasive cloth on the cable and the base, wipe the sanding place with the cleaning agent, attach the aluminum foil, and place the heat shrinkable tube in the joint box. At the cable, use a blowtorch to slowly heat the front and back ends, so that the entire heat shrinkable tube can be completely shrunk. Because it is an important connecting device, what is the sealing requirement for the fit? 1. Box package: Close the valve tip and the grounding screw before the box is packaged. The sealing strip is embedded in the sealing groove around the box body; the sealing strip is also embedded in the groove at the "U" groove at both ends of the fiber optic splice closure. Note: Use a sealing strip and do not pull the sealing strip artificially to avoid leakage. 2. Gently close the upper cover of the fiber optic splice closure and screw in the fastening bolts. The tightening sequence is tightened according to the numerical sequence indicated on the cover, and the torque is tightened to a torque of 25 N·m. 3. After 5 minutes, tighten with a torque wrench and the torque still reaches 25N·m.
