The Packaging of the Fiber Closure


Fiber Closures have different forms and requirements in terms of structure, performance, installation process, use conditions, and price. Therefore, specific analysis should be made during the selection and installation, reasonable selection, and correct installation to maximize performance.

Fiber Closure installation method. The cable must be laid according to the specifications, routing and termination requirements of the design. The reserved length of the connected part is >12m. That is, each end is >6m. Pipeline cable shall be laid. When the joint is fixed in the well, the specific length shall be measured according to the position where the Fiber Closure should be fixed, the size of the manhole, and the number of internal optical cables. The reserved length is generally 7m-10m/ side. The cable opening and stripping size should be determined according to the different structure of the Fiber Closure and different fiber-optic methods. It should also pay attention to the opening and stripping size of the cable, which should generally be >1m. Do not put too tightly when storing the residual fiber, so as to prevent the fiber from being broken when the fiber is cold-shrinked. Since the optical fiber is relatively sturdy, there is a phenomenon of picking up during containment. If it is not noticed, it is easy to jam the excess fiber when the Fiber Closure is packaged. It should be padded with a thin layer of paper and then adhered with a transparent tape to make the surplus fiber both stretchable and not lifted.

Guaranteed sealing and corrosion resistance. The packaging of the joint box is a very important part, which directly affects the sealing effect of the Fiber Closure, especially the pipe Fiber Closure, not only to ensure its sealing and anti-corrosion, but also to have certain mechanical damage and rodent-proof performance. The operation must be carried out in strict accordance with the operating procedures or product specifications. First, the sealing parts should be cleaned, and then the sealing materials should be placed in place. If the tightening is tightened to achieve the seal, the order of tightening the screws should be as follows: start from the middle, and then screw them in the order, and do not tighten them one at a time. Tightening torque should refer to the instruction manual in the joint. If the tightening torque is too large, the shell will be tightly broken. If it is too small, the seal will not be good.
