Fiber Optic Splice Closure Uses A Modular Structure

The  Fiber Optic Splice Closure have a modular structure, are available in four sizes and offer the highest degree of protection. The robust housing is made from black shock-resistant plastic and ensures easy installation. The integrated pressure value allows overpressure to be generated inside the sleeve depending on its use. This keeps out dirt efficiently and also protects the housing from pressure applied from the outside. The cover has a mechanical locking system made of various sections which can be closed and opened easily and without any special tools. The installed seal, along with the locking system, ensure that the splice closures remain watertight. The seal kit does not require any maintenance whatsoever and also does not need to be replaced after frequent opening and closing. The smallest splicing sleeve offers space for up to four splice trays, the largest up to 48 splice trays each with 12 splices. The inner workings of the closure offer enough space for optimal fibre management. The cables can be prepared and sealed outside of the splice closure and before installation. This means that the work carried out within the splice closure in direct proximity to pre-installed fibres and thus the possibilities of error are reduced. Upon delivery, all cable entries are fitted with blanking plugs. A wide range of cable entry flanges are available in various sizes. The individual cable entries serve to relieve strain being exerted on cables on the one hand and ensure an optimal seal without damaging the fibre-optic cables on the other. When installing additional cables in the splice closures, splice trays and cable entries can also be installed afterwards and without any special tools. This means that it is possible to change or replace a cable at any time.
