Fiber Optic Splice Closure Can Withstand Harsh Environments

In actual design and engineering, the problem of the capacity of the Fiber Optic Splice Closure seems to only require the larger the capacity, but the consequences may be: the volume of the box is increased, and the price of the equipment is increased. The capacity of the cable splice box refers to the number of the largest fiber cores of the horizontal cable splice box. The size of the capacity is proportional to the volume of the cabinet, the overall cost, and the difficulty of construction and maintenance, so it should not be too large. The fiber optic splice closure HFC network adopts a star network in the fiber part, and the cable part adopts a tree structure, which is very good for cable television transmission. However, it is not very reasonable for the broadband high-speed integrated service network. The information network has very high reliability requirements. Once the integrated information network has problems, it cannot be repaired in time, which may bring irreparable damage to users. The horizontal fiber optic splice closure is a connection device installed outdoors. The most fundamental requirement for it is to withstand the drastic climate and harsh working environment. It has the characteristics of waterproof gas condensation, waterproof and dustproof, insect and rat damage, and strong impact resistance. It must be able to withstand the harsh external environment. Therefore, the outer side of the box is relatively high in terms of waterproof, moisture-proof, dust-proof, anti-collision damage, pest control, and the like; the inner side has very high requirements for temperature and humidity control. According to international standards, the highest standard for these projects is IP66. However, there are not many cabinets that can meet this standard. In order to improve the reliability of the network, a ring network is generally used, and if a star network is used, a hot backup is required.
